In the craziness of the last couple of weeks, we haven’t had time to update you on the Nursing Chair search situation.
A few weeks ago Tera and I met with Dr. Drumm and reminded him that the College could not advertise for/hire a Nursing Chair, as that was an elected position. Dr.Drumm assured us that they would never do that.
Shortly thereafter, we discovered that the ad for a nursing chair had been placed. We then began the grievance process. When the Coronavirus situation hit, we offered to put our grievance in abeyance for a month, which was accepted. We think we are close to a resolution, but only time will tell.
Meanwhile, the ad is not valid, and if anyone is hired based on it, we will grieve that hiring as well.
