DID YOU KNOW you need to vote for your raise tomorrow?
After seventeen hard-fought months of negotiations and mediation, our SBFA Negotiating Team reached a Tentative Agreement with the Administration on 10/4. The agreement includes raises of $1,700 for 21-22, $1,950 for 22-23, $2,100 for 23-24 and $2,200 for 24-25, a total raise of $7,950, on base, for full timers over the course of the four year agreement. Adjuncts will receive a 3% raise for 21-22, 3% for 22-23, 3.25% for 23-24, and 3.25% for 24-25, on base, for each year of the agreement.
Other important points of the agreement include:
- Retention of retiree health insurance language
- Retention of online course numbers capped at 24
- Retention of “five day rule”
- No change in work year
- Health insurance contributions up by only 1% effective January 1, 2023 and an additional 0.5% effective September 1, 2023.
Despite the challenging negotiating climate, we feel that this is the best possible contract we can settle at this time, and it represents a fair shake for us in many of our areas of concern.
We ask each of you to vote YES to ratify this agreement on Tuesday, 10/18, online, between 12pm and 6pm.
If you have questions, join us on 10/18 for one of our Informational Meetings below:
