The last formal proposal put forth by the FA Negotiations Team requested a compensation increases of 4%, 3.75% and 3.5% over three years with no increase in health insurance contributions. See the formal FA Proposal (Feb 9, 2016) and be sure to consult the associated Minimum Addendum (Feb 9, 2016) for the minimum salaries within each FA employee position.
As many of you are aware, the most recent Negotiations Meeting on May 3rd and subsequent conversations with SUNY Broome President Drumm led to a potential two-year package with salary increases of 3% and 2.5% + $600 (added to the base salary) and no movement on health care. Drumm brought this request to the Board of Trustees (BOT) on Thursday, May 12th.
The BOT countered with their desire to establish a three-year contract with 1.5% in the third year with a provision to open the contract on the salary issue. FA President, Dave Michalak, responded with a counter of 3% in the third year, otherwise we should fall back to the two year agreement. President Drumm is going back to the BOT on Monday to make a final appeal.
