The SUNY Broome Faculty Association Negotiating team met with the Administrative team for our first negotiating session on May 14th. That session included a review of both parties’ proposals and we have posted the notes from that meeting below. Our goal is to negotiate a fair and reasonable contract that will address the concerns that our faculty have articulated to us throughout the life of our current contract. Our proposals will proactively further the SBFA mission of fostering quality education at SUNY Broome for the sake of student success.
Below you will find our notes from our sessions and both parties’ current proposals. We have posted these documents in the interest of transparency through the negotiation process with our members. Also, the terms set forth in these current documents are by no means final and we expect both documents to change during the span of negotiations. Note: If we do not reach a tentative agreement before the end of the current contract period on 9/1/2025, your rights as an FA member will remain in place as per the previous contract until we reach that agreement.
